Orrville Bronze and Aluminum Company, LLC stands as a hallmark of metal casting excellence and innovation, with origins dating back to 1888. Initially established in Orrville, Ohio, the company now operates out of Meadville, PA, as part of the U.S. Bronze Foundry and Machine Inc. complex.
Our Heritage
Founded in 1888, Orrville Bronze specializes in the production of high-quality copper, red bronze, tin bronze, yellow bronze, and nickel-based alloy castings. With over three generations of the Cairnie family at the helm, the company embodies the expertise and craftsmanship trusted by customers to meet stringent casting specifications.
Our History
In 1934, Robert R. Cairnie assumed the role of superintendent, steering the foundry through the Great Depression and expanding its production during World War II to include a diverse range of military-related castings. By 1970, the foundry had significantly increased its capacity, capable of pouring up to 11,000 pounds in a single mold.
In April 2010, Orrville Bronze transitioned to Meadville, PA, where it continues operations with advanced technology, such as the Hartley "Even-Flow" sand bin and Hartley PLC compatibility controls. The facility has evolved from utilizing silica sand to adopting the superior Green Diamond Sand.

- Hunter 10 Automatic Molding Line and Rotalift Machine utilizing Green Diamond Sand
- No-bake Molding Department for castings ranging from 40 to 11,000 pounds
- Shalco Model 2030 Molding Machines for shell molding
- Lift Swing Furnaces and Indutother Coreless Induction Furnaces for melting bronze, stainless steel, and steel
- Natural Gas-Fired Furnaces for aluminum alloys
- New Spectograph and Tensile Machine for quality assurance
